E competing in New Caledonia

E had a very successful trip to Nouméa representing New Zealand as part of the NZ Youth Team in the 2019 New Caledonia National Lead Championship. The only climber to top all three qualifying climbs, she finished first in Youth A Female and second in Open Female. She was very impressed with the quality of the route-setting, and indeed the whole venue. Found everybody very welcoming and friendly. She also enjoyed meeting French speed-climbing legend Bassa Mawem who showed her round.
