Managed to get down to Alexandra for a few days to stay with the Bairds and do some mountain-biking here and there. The kids all had a ball on the BMX track in Alex, and we also managed to get out on the bikes along/near the Central Otago Rail Trail…
E & I headed up to Carroll Hut for an overnight tramp on the Kelly Range above Otira in Arthurs Pass National Park.
E & another 100+ kids from Years 7 & 8 at St Martins Primary School headed to Glentui Meadows for 3 days of adventures.
A long Waitangi Day weekend produced a fantastic bit of summer weather with a family ride along the Hogs Back Track with the Maddigans on Waitangi Day itself, followed by a decent day tramp the next day up to Temple Basin in Arthurs Pass.

Been only managing a little biking myself recently (including first ride out along the new-ish Coal Pit Spur track in the Craigieburn Trails with Richard one evening), but have also been involved in the first summer workparty this year working on Hut Creek track with the rest of the volunteers…
